Yesterday I went in a deli to pick up sandwiches. After five minutes I was overwhelmed by the noise and activity. I noticed more people in the shop than since Covid began and the music felt louder. I exited the shop as quickly as possible, relieved to be outside. The stimulation was too much following the long months of isolation.
